Who am I ?
My name is Jeffrey & I am a project manager with a background in design living in NYC. My personal journey into project management has been driven by a deep-rooted desire to not only enable people to overcome obstacles but to also solve complex problems & deliver exceptional user experiences. Atlica perfectly encapsulates this. Scroll to the next section below where I explain what atlica is and later how we built it in a two part series (more info/context)
How did we build atlica?
What is it?
Think of Atlica as your trusty companion in the complex universe of product development. It's a user-friendly platform that effortlessly connects you with top-notch designers and vetted manufacturers globally. Inspired by a playful idea – a pillow for your back that also served as a trendy laptop carrier – The idea for atlica grew. Its main mission? To make the often daunting process of creating a product for newbies, feel like a walk in the park. So, if you're brimming with a brilliant idea, Atlica is your go-to tool to bring that thought to life. Sounds helpful, doesn't it?
How does it work?
Step 1. Hire
Start by chatting with designers from the Atlica platform, whose task will be to evaluate your concept and devise the design for your product. After this critical stage, proceed to hire experienced manufacturers to actualize your product.
Step 2. Build
We generate a comprehensive tech-pack for your selected manufacturer. This serves as a blueprint enabling them to develop a prototype and subsequently manufacture your final product.
Step 3. Sell
With the final product in hand, it's time to get it into the hands of your eager customers. You're free to utilize Atlica's own marketplace, or opt for another platform that fits your unique needs and goals.

Building atlica block-by-block
Crafting the Atlica prototype felt like a strategic game of Jenga. Informed by agile methodology, each tweak, test, and invaluable piece of user feedback represented a block meticulously positioned, steering us toward a balanced, user-focused minimum viable product.
Constructing atlica from an agile blueprint
Creating the Atlica software was akin to constructing a high-rise edifice. Guided by waterfall methodology, all user inputs, wireframes, and features defined in the agile phase transformed into a blueprint. Working closely with a development agency, we raised a functional, user-driven product from the ground up.
